Because the cloth is impregnated with a wax-paraffin layer, it creates a canvas that is highly water-repellent and wind-resistant. Also, the wax coating gives this Filson Sportsman Bag a slightly darker and more used look, even fresh out of the package. The Tin Cloth canvas also offers the greatest protection against abrasion, making it very durable.
