Our Story

Meet Dennis & Githa

In 2004, we both quit our jobs. Not because we knew what the next step would be, but because we wanted something different. A different way of working. A different way of living.

Our journey led us to Bali, a place where craftsmanship and creativity come together. There, we encountered beautiful, handmade products, each imbued with character, authenticity, and attention to detail. A world full of unique materials, traditional techniques, and stories you can see in every item.

Inspired by this experience, we decided to bring these unique products to Europe so others could enjoy their beauty and quality. During this discovery journey, we also came across special bags that were functional yet had their own story and personality. This sparked our creativity and motivated us to design our own bags that reflect the same values: craftsmanship, character, and timeless elegance.

In 2010, BeauBags was born. What began as a dream to create special laptop bags for everyday use grew into a brand with its own signature. Every design, every detail, and every stitch was made with care, balancing functionality and style for people who expect more from what they wear.

For years, every BeauBag was handmade from high-quality materials, with attention to detail and character. It was a wonderful time full of creativity and craftsmanship, but the frequent travel between our production locations in Bali and Portugal began to take its toll.

So we decided to shift our focus: from designing and producing ourselves to sourcing and selling special bags with a story, bags with quality, character, and soul. In our search for brands that share our values, we quickly found Filson, a brand that, like us, believes in sustainability, functionality, and timeless style.

Since then, Filson has become one of the cornerstones of BeauBags, and their bags, clothing, and accessories form the heart of our carefully curated collection.
