Inspired by the versatility required to hike the PCT, the Trail 2650 Mesh is built to perform on all kinds of terrain. A lightweight and breathable mesh upper keeps you comfortable as you maintain a quick pace. Trailguard TPU shank provides underfoot support for stability on challenging ground. The EXO Heel System cradles your heel, reducing unnecessary friction for a comfortable fit.

NO NEED TO COMPROMISE

For the Trail 2650, Danner wanted to bring you a lightweight option that still adheres to their strict durability benchmarks. This meant looking to lightweight materials that could withstand the demands of the trail. Danner use an ultra-lightweight EVA foam midsole to provide the cushioning you need while minimizing weight. The midsole is formed around a TPU shank that guards your foot in uncertain terrain and provides torsional strength for stability. This process maximizes weight savings while maintaining protection, stability and durability. Danner wouldn’t have it any other way.

• Removable OrthoLite Footbed. Three layers of varying density are combined for maximum cushioning and support. The entire footbed is made of open-cell polyurethane for better heat dissipation and air circulation.

• Danner PlyoGo Midsole. Ultra-lightweight EVA provides excellent cushioning with optimal weight savings.

• Vibram® 460 Outsole. Self-adapting lugs and Vibram’s specially formulated Megagrip compound provide long-wearing resilience with incredible grip on both wet and dry surfaces.

• EXO Heel System. The lightweight EXO Heel System provides a comfortable, secure fit via an external heel counter.

• Danner Trailguard. Lightweight and supportive, the Trailguard TPU shank provides stability and underfoot protection on rough, uneven terrain.

• How It Fits. Inspired from trail running, the DT6 last features an 8mm offset from heel to toe with slightly more width in the forefoot for stability and a good-looking, everyday-wearable aesthetic. Ortholite footbed included. Fits true to size. We recommend choosing your usual size.

VIBRAM SOLE

Vibram is a manufacturer of high-performance soles for hiking, climbing and trail shoe brands. Collaborating with this top-notch soling expert, Danner chose Vibram's 460 outsole, featuring deep, multi-directional lugs for confidence-inspiring grip in a wide variety of terrain. Couple this with Vibram’s legendary Megagrip rubber compound for enhanced traction in every step, whether wet or dry.

LOTS OF EXTRAS, WELL THOUGHT OUT

The toebox and midfoot feature super-light laminated overlays to add durability and protection, while the heel section includes Danner’s lightweight EXO external heel counter. The tongue is nicely padded and partly gusseted, while the contoured ankle cuff provides great freedom of movement for the ankle joint. The lacing system consists of simple eyelets, with the lower sets reinforced with metal rings to prevent wear and tear.

INSTANTLY COMFORTABLE

The cushioned EVA midsole requires minimal break-in time and is super comfortable underfoot to keep you going on the trail. The midsole also features a plastic shank to add a little stiffness and prevent too much torsional flex. This shank also offers some underfoot protection on rough, uneven terrain. The overall fit takes inspiration from dedicated trail running shoes, with an 8mm drop from heel to toe.

ORTHOLITE FOOTBED

The design also incorporates an Ortholite footbed for superior shock absorption and comfort, that can be removed if desired. It has been made by combining 3 layers of varying density open-cell Polyurethane for maximum cushioning and support. The use of this material also benefits the wearer with better heat dissipation and air circulation.
