This Filson Down Bomber Jacket Otter Green combines Filson legacy materials with state-of-the-art insulation into a jacket that will weather any storm, no matter how wet and cold. Responsibly-sourced goose down, the lightest and warmest insulation found in nature, traps body heat like nothing else can. Oil finish Cover and Shelter Cloths keep the rain out so the down insulation can do its job. Merino wool lines the handwarmer pockets, for warmth even when wet. Built with Cover Cloth

Filson Down Bomber’s shell is mostly built with Cover Cloth, Filsons lightest-weight oil finish waxed fabric–thoroughly saturated with thier special wax mixture to ensure maximum water resistance. Filson deployed Shelter Cloth, a midweight oil-finish fabric, for the pockets, cuffs and lower-back for added durability. The patch pockets are made from oil finish Shelter Cloth and lined with 100% wool for warmth. The classic bomber design features sturdy wool-blend ribbed cuffs and hem to keep warmth in and seal out cold wind. The interior-chest zippered pocket keeps you phone or valuables secure and quick-at-hand. The lining is built with 1.4-oz. ripstop nylon, so lightweight it’s virtually unnoticeable apart from the comfort it provides.

Traceable and certified goose down

The goose down that insulates this vest consists of large spherical clusters of the soft under-plumage of gray geese, each cluster with thousands of soft filaments that trap heat. This is why goose down has been the champion of lightweight warmth for centuries. Filson use only responsibly-sourced goose down, which means that the geese that provide it are treated humanely–never live-plucked or force-fed. All of Filsons goose down is traceable and certified to follow the RDS (Responsible Down Standard), and is processed in bluesign®-approved facilities.
