The Filson Tin Cloth Insulated Packer Coat Dark Tan is the heaviest-duty insulated coat from Filson. Water-repellent, abrasion-resistant oil finish Tin Cloth repels wind, rain and snow while holding up through tough jobs.

This reissue of Filson's archival Packer Coat is a heavy-duty variation of the mainstay coat trusted by ranchers and backcountry outfitters for decades. This insulated version combines the legendary toughness and weather protection of the original with the warmth of PrimaLoft®. This reliable insulation was developed to meet the needs of military in cold-weather training and campaigns.

The front and back shoulders are protected by an additional layer of Tin Cloth for maximum water resistance. The front and back are covered with Filson's signature Cruiser pocket array which includes four cargo pockets and a full-width, pass-through rear pocket. The shawl collar is lined with thick 100% wool and extends to ear height for warmth in biting wind. Genuine horn buttons secure the front and the removable throat latch. Inner-sleeve cuffs are rib-knit to seal in the warmth.

This 'oil finish Tin Cloth' earned its reputation for outstanding weather resistance and durability in the rain-soaked forests of the Pacific Northwest. This heavily waxed canvas features an exceptionally tight weave that’s virtually impenetrable to briars and thorns, and withstands the abuse of constant abrasion. Filsons Tin Cloth is a woven duck canvas from England’s British Millerain that’s been thoroughly saturated with a paraffin wax formulation for maximum water repellency. Legendary, super strong, lightweight, and oil impregnated 14-oz., this 'oil finish Tin Cloth' offers the greatest protection against weather influences and wear. Also gives the layer of wax this Filson jacket a slightly darker and more used look, fresh out of the package itself.

Filson Fit General: All Filson sizes are US sizes which can be larger for a European stature, so we recommend sizing down. Some people choose to wear Filson clothing slimmer, more fashionable, others prefer a wider fit for easy movement, for example during physical work. If you order your own size then the fit is generous. If you prefer a slimmer silhouette, order one or two sizes smaller.

CARE

Do not wash or dry clean – brush or wipe clean with a damp rag. Rewax as needed to maintain maximum water resistance. To prevent the transfer of oils, we recommend avoiding prolonged contact between Filson oil finish goods and light-colored fabrics, especially in warm weather.
